Usah Diratoki

The first one here is my current favorite, Usah Diratoki, composed by Yusaf Rahman.
Usah Diratoki means "Jangan diratapi" or "Don't cry (over it)". There are a few words or phrases used in this song that I find amusing.

Usah Diratoki

Anak urang sikubang putiah
Pai ka balai, hari sanjo
Mamakai baju guntiang cino, guntiang cino

Ulah rayu si daun siriah
Bacarai pinang jo tampuaknyo
Apo katenggang si carano, si carano

Urang kapau pai ka ladang
Sarupo kodek jo bajunyo
Iyo buruak lakunyo alang
Ayam tapauik disembanyo

Urang Sariak babaju ganiah
Pai manggaleh ka Padang Lua
Iyo sariak ba' ayam putiah
Kok indak sikok alang manyemba

Jikok mandi denai di hulu
Aie nan usah adiak sauak,
Disauak usah dikaruahi, dikaruahi
Jikok mati denai dahulu
Mati nan usah adiak janguak,
Dijanguak usah diratoki, diratoki
